The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render expert services on the community.

SASSA will be rendering providers which include new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency claimed it is alarmed with regards to the high number of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The goal with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to sassa status your significant quantity of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is certainly because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no totally functional office dedicated to service the area on a daily basis. The services place made sassa status for intervention encounters a large influx of potential beneficiaries, that makes it hard for your office to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra methods to allow the servicing of all clients and maximize use of Social Assistance products and services,” the agency said.
